These three words are the beginning of Arde’s ABC. Art because it is what obsesses us, Alejandro Pintado the artist that goes out of its canvas and Aldama for being the most beautiful street in Mexico located in San Miguel de Allende.

ART | The concept that escapes from itself

Etymologically, the word art comes from the Latin words ars, artis, and from the Greek term τέχνη (téchne), which means “technique”. It has taken centuries outlining its concept and escaping from it. Defining it would be erratic. Encapsulating it would be inappropriate. Understanding it, impossible. It is the result of creative developments through which, with different resources and endless possibilities, ideas, thoughts, emotions, feelings or perceptions materialize. For the purposes of this ABC we point out that art is a mechanism of speech.

ALDAMA | The most beautiful street in San Miguel de Allende

If you walk it from the Parque Juárez towards El Jardín you’ll have one of the best views of “La Parroquia.” This is the only street in Mexico mentioned in Architectural Digest list of  the most beautiful streets in the world. It is named after one of the most important family names of the Mexican War of Independence.

ALEJANDRO PINTADO | The artist of color encounters

He is known for his paintings on raw linen, where the outlines of classic landscapes and scenes are  inhabited by lines or geometric shapes in contrasting colors capable to create another narrative. He graduated from one of the best art schools in Mexico, Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado “La Esmeralda”. He is part of the Arde Gallery artists selection.
