He studied Communication at the Jesuit University of Guadalajara (ITESO), where he discovers Semiotics. Two years later he began his artistic training working for different established artists.
In 2012 he meets the American painter Dianne Neuman who would later become his mentor. Mojo a holds his first exhibition abroad with his first collection of author photography in San Francisco, California (DN Gallery). That year he develops the on-site project “Encuentros” where he writes more than 700 poems. Later, with Nicolas Weinstein (sculptor) he developed abstract glass structures for the artist’s installations. In 2015 he travels to Berlin, Germany, to develop his first on-site installation as a result of his residency at STRAY KOLLECTIVE. City in which he follows up on his “Encuentros” project.
In 2017, he made his first solo sculpture exhibition at Estudio Libertad in Guadalajara, Mexico. In this same year he is part of the collective exhibition “Macario” in London. His interest is about the processes of traditional sculpture and its production based on critical thinking. Mojo explores alternative mediums such as ceramics, wood, acrylic and aluminum. His work is exhibited and belongs to private collections in different states of Mexico, the United States and Spain.
