Es considerado como arte ef\u00edmero por la temporalidad de su presentaci\u00f3n.  En la mayor\u00eda de los casos permite una interacci\u00f3n activa con el espectador. El artista propone el concepto dentro de un contexto deseado, las instalaciones pueden presentarse en cualquier espacio y ser realizadas con los m\u00e1s variados materiales, medios f\u00edsicos, visuales o sonoros, incluso en ocasiones intervienen otras disciplinas art\u00edsticas como la fotograf\u00eda, el videoarte o el performance. Tuvo una formaci\u00f3n militar, lleg\u00f3 a ser parte del regimiento de Dragones a finales del siglo XVIII. Posteriormente, form\u00f3 parte de grupos insurgentes encabezados por los Corregidores de Quer\u00e9taro, quienes, inconformes con la situaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica que se viv\u00eda durante el Virreinato, se convirtieron en los conspiradores de la independencia de M\u00e9xico.
