Endy Hupperich

Abstraction and popular culture converge as a theme in the artistic approach that characterizes Hupperich’s work. Born in southern Germany and graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Endy Hupperich received a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service in 2000. During his first years in Mexico he founded a studio in Oaxaca, where he taught painting and drawing at the National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving “La Esmeralda” (ENPEG) of the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA)”.

He has made different exhibitions in museums such as the Museum of Contemporary Art of Oaxaca (MACO); he worked in the organization of a collective exhibition at the Carillo Gil Museum and has been a professor at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg, teaching drawing and painting. In addition, he has been assistant professor of painting at the Academy of Plastic Arts in Munich.
